For too long, the history of comedy has been predominantly told through its men. HERLARIOUS puts the women centre stage, exploring their stories, their work and the changing world of comedy across generations.
It’s a book about laughter, but also about determination, creativity and the women who found ways to be heard — and to make audiences laugh — when the odds were often stacked against them.
